Clay sculpture workshop, beyond a hobby.
Whether you wish to sculpt as a hobby or professionally, at Atölye20 sculpture workshop, you can combine your imagination and manual skills to create unique works of art.
With the opportunity to work in the workshop on a daily 6-hour schedule, you can focus more intensively on your projects, make progress, and immerse yourself deeply in the art of sculpture.
As part of the sculpture lessons, we also emphasize on drawing education.
Before delving into sculpture, we believe in developing not only the training of the hand but also the training of the eye to contribute to sculpture production. We integrate pencil drawing training into the sculpture education program to help the student both analyze their three-dimensional structure comfortably and assist in seeing the plans of the sculpture while realizing eye training.
Learning Sculpture:
Starting with an introduction to the material to be used, clay, we begin with geometric shaping, measurement from the object, proportion, followed by artistic anatomy. Depending on the student’s readiness, the program is followed by designing the sculpture and finalizing it.
Since we follow an academic working model, every semester includes sculpture lessons with live models. This allows the student to fully experience the creation of a figure and reinforce anatomical studies.
